Celebrate Life

The wedding ceremony focuses on the couple.  This includes their relationship to each other as well as to their families and community.  I get to know the couple through personal meetings in order to  craft a meaningful ceremony.

My original ceremonies are personalized with elements that can come from tradition interpreted through a humanist lens or are completely original, created through a process of investigation into the history, feelings and thoughts of the couple.  The tone of the ceremony is also bespoke, representing the atmosphere that feels most comfortable to the couple.  It can be laid-back, formal, humorous, romantic, or resonate with a combination of many things.

As humanists, we don’t rely on unknowns like heaven or a higher power to give us comfort when someone dies.  What helps us through this sad time is celebrating the great things about our loved ones and sharing wonderful memories.

I get to know the family so that I can talk about their loved one with knowledge and compassion.  I guide a service that is personally meaningful to the family and friends, helping them speak and remember with respect for the thoughts, beliefs, and emotions of all involved.

There are times in life when we celebrate new identities. 

Whether it is a baby naming ceremony, a trans naming ceremony, or any other life circumstance that calls for an introduction with fanfare, namings are some of the most meaningful and lovely celebrations of life.

I create a ceremony unique to the individual and their loved ones.

Every day is a celebration, a new breath, a new challenge, a new love...there is always something to honor and a reason to give thanks.

Whether it's a coming-of-age party or an invocation; if you are remembering the past or starting anew, there are countless reasons to celebrate life. 

Our imagination is all we need to come up with a special tradition and a unique place to hold it, and build a once-in-a-lifetime event.
